Job-Center visit prep

Half-page prep for an American Job Center (or similar) visit about trades / registered apprenticeship. This directory is a map of public data — not openings and not a ranking.

Ask the counselor

1. □ “Which registered apprenticeship sponsors in this area should I verify on apprenticeship.gov?” Names: ______________________________
2. □ “Where do people usually apply — sponsor site, union hall, employer HR, or here?” __________
3. □ “Is there a public info session or orientation I can attend without paying?” __________
4. □ “What documents do you typically see sponsors request?” (their list only): ______________________________

Do not expect from this directory

• Job openings, “seats left,” or wage guarantees — we don’t invent them.
• A ranking of “best” sponsors — public DOL / Scorecard map only.
• Enrollment or benefits counseling — confirm on apprenticeship.gov and with the sponsor.

Before anyone applies: send them home with a double-check on apprenticeship.gov and the school site / Scorecard. Send-home sheet · Methodology. Independent · not DOL. registeredtradeschools.com/for-counselors/job-center-prep/
